Rolex Oyster Precision 6427

So, we found another very cool 34mm Rolex, this time it’s a Rolex Oyster Precision 6427 from 1972 which remains in all original condition – from the hands to the dial, to the bezel and bracelet, everything checks out. It is also one of those Rolex’s that will not break the bank, but will most likely be on your wrist most of the times compared to your safe-queen watches – simply because this 6427 Precision is an incredible looker, will not draw to much attention (except for the occasional watch freak that knows his/hers stuff) and is just incredibly comfortable to wear.

One of the standout features of this reference 6427 is of course its linen dial. This design is subtle but detailed, giving the watch a unique look. The surface of the dial is made up of horizontal and vertical lines that create a texture similar to fine linen fabric. The linen texture reflects light in an interesting way, shifting between a matte and slightly shiny finish depending on the angle – This type of dial, common throughout the 1970’s, is now quite rare and especially hard to find inside these Oyster Precision models. Complementing the linen dial is the engine-turned bezel, a feature that truly sets this Oyster Precision apart from the more commonly used ‘Smooth’ bezels on these references. The bezel’s engraved hourly indexation not only enhances legibility but also adds a layer of visual complexity to the watch. This Rolex Oyster Precision 6427 features a 34mm case, and is worn on its original folded Oyster bracelet. The watch has been worn these last 53 years or so, but also has been taken very good care of, all the original parts still present and in good condition can testify to this. In short: this here is a very cool 34mm ‘sports’ Rolex for the starter, or seasoned collector for that matter, it is a watch certain to appeal to both.

This Oyster Precision is powered by a manual-wind, hand-wound movement, which has been fully serviced: The watch remains true to its name, still delivering reliable precision, and will be delivered with our extensive two year warranty.
